I currently use x11vnc on my computer, UltraVNC on Windows computers of family, friends or clients (since it doesn't need installation) but I always use RealVNC Viewer as a vnc client, on everything. Also, the control speed is sometimes faster than TeamViewer in my country. I feel its interface is easier to use than TeamViewer. My choice is UltraViewer because the software works perfectly, and there are no errors found. And, it can now be set to start when Windows starts so that you can use it for unattended access. You can adjust your view and choose which screen if someone has multiple monitors. You can send a Ctrl+Alt+Del command you can copy/share files from one computer to a remote computer via the Chat function/window. Great for helping a friend or family member, or if you do tech support, you can use this too. I need an app that is a free and easy-to-use remote access program. I believe it is good that we share our recommendations.
Given the high and almost unaffordable cost of TeamViewer, we are all looking for alternatives. Remote PC access is one of the essential tools for any tech guru. I have been a tech guy throughout my 20s, and I must say that Reddit is indeed a nice place to learn about tech.
